Ogilvy and David Ogilvy

Este es un caso interesante del Marketing moderno. Tuve la oportunidad de trabajar en el mismo grupo que Ogilvy One, pero nunca directamente, me parece otro mentor, junto de Lester de esta apacionante industria.

David Ogilvy said "You will never win fame and fortune unless you invent big ideas."

"We prefer the discipline of knowledge to the anarchy of ignorance."

"The consumer is not a moron."

"It takes a big idea to attract the attention of consumers and get them to buy your product. Unless your advertising contains a big idea, it will pass like a ship in the night."

David Ogilvy wrote three books: Confessions of an Advertising Man (1963), Ogilvy on Advertising (1983), and Blood, Brains and Beer (1978 - reissued in 1997 as An Autobiography).

The first two are required reading for anyone who has any interest in advertising. The latter is required reading for anyone who likes a great story.
