Lester Wunderman
Lester es el padre del marketing moderno. Tuve la oportunidad de estar varias veces con el. Lo admiro.
Lester Wunderman
I get involved. I think the lesson—if there is one for anybody else—is don't do anything in a half-hearted way. If you are going to do it, go all the way."
With this spirit, Lester Wunderman founded in 1958 what has become one of the world's leading global direct marketing advertising agencies. It is in the same spirit that he pursues his varied interests, from travel to writing to photography.
Lester Wunderman identified, named and defined "direct marketing" and has been a big part of the theoretical and practical growth of the industry. He has received many awards and tributes from both the direct marketing and general advertising industries, including being named to the Direct Marketing Hall of Fame in 1983. In 1998 he was elected to the Advertising Hall of Fame and was named as one of twenty "Advertising Legends and Leaders" by Adweek Magazine.
In addition to his role as Chairman Emeritus at Wunderman, Lester also currently serves as Director of i-Behavior, a premier provider of database targeting services. His book Being Direct: Making Advertising Pay was published in January 1997, and his collection of Dogon art is part of the permanent collection of New York's Metropolitan Museum.
